3d screen savers
A screen saver is a computer program intended to cover or
fill the computer screen when it is not intervened by the
user.
From time to time, the evolvement of 3d screen savers were
stupendous in terms of objectives, that today entertainment or
security reasons are highlighted for the reasons behind why to
use screen savers.
Nobody bothers to dig deeper, to identify the
underlying architecture of 3d screen savers. It has to be
understood, that a screen saver is designed with the assistance
of numerous programming languages and graphical user interfaces
or GUIs.
Most of the screen savers are obliged either to
the procedural oriented language, C, or the object oriented
language C++. Apart from these, several GUIs, Open GL, directX
etc are exploited to release a good 3d screen saver.
What makes the 3d screen
saver to be displayed in the monitor is the interaction of
operating system with the screen saver.
When any key of the keyboard is pressed, or if
the mouse gets shifted, a message is passed from the operating
system to the screen saver to pull itself back.
It has already been said that, 3d screen savers
are nowadays been used for security and entertainment purposes
.Many screen savers implement security measures by asking the
password of the user before logging again to work, after a
while.
Thinking the other way
around, 3d screen savers can add up the power wastage issues,
since the system is not logged off when screen savers are
activated.
An entertainment wise thinking of 3d screen
savers suggests the fact that, a screen saver could even
display real time events or pictures on the screen.
Mainly, the entertainment aspect of 3d screen
savers are most exploited for promotional things. Still, safety
issues are not that far away from 3d screen savers.
Cases were reported that, screen savers on
earlier versions of Microsoft Windows were potentially
dangerous, since the chances were high to get the viruses
installed ,when the programs were run every time.
