3ds max
3ds max, a computer graphics program that runs on Win 32 and
Win 64 operating systems was developed by Autodesk Media and
Entertainment. It has just released its latest of all, the 10th
version, which is 3ds max 2008.
When peeping into the historical perspective of 3ds max
software, originally it was introduced by the Yost group which
was designed to operate on DOS platform.
When the fourth version of 3D studio was released, designers
made it compatible to work with the Windows NT platform. The
name of the software was changed later as 3ds max, to be in
pace with recent naming standards.
One of the most important features of
3ds max is the polygon modeling. This feature has been widely
accepted in the process of designing video games. Several
adjustments can be done on the polygon, which can be counted as
the primitive, minute changes that can be made possible.
Making it clear, polygon is one of the primitive models, on
which images are constructed. A change on that polygon implies
the extremity of designing. Nurbs are a bit more advanced type,
where this can be used to shape the edges of a polygon.
The greatest relevance of nurbs lies in
its non uniformity. Several other tools are important in the
context of 3ds max such as surface tool; editable patch objects
etc and those are meant for very specific purposes. Again, the
key thing lies in the user friendliness of the software.
3ds max can be exploited efficiently for the representation
of algorithms and work flows. Pipelined operations of certain
complex processes can be given precise enhancement using 3ds
max.
While having the successful legacy of Microsoft platforms to
back the operations of 3ds max, it has evolved to be as a
better solution for modeling programs and animations.
Video games utilize the features of 3ds max in developing
and concreting their technical platform. Recently, movie makers
find something astonishing in 3ds max to give immaculate visual
impact.
